Citizen Lake Monitoring

Citizen volunteer water monitors are a vital part of Minnesota's water quality data! Beltrami SWCD provides you with the tools + training to serve as the Volunteer Monitor for your lake.
As a Citizen Volunteer Water Monitor, you'll be trained on sampling + monitoring procedures, and provided all necessary equipment. Each month of the sampling season, a water sample + measurements are taken from the same point in a given lake, and dropped off to be analyzed by RMB Labs. The sampling season runs from May through September.
