Jack Pine is a woody, needled evergreen that prefers full sun and a variety of soils, including deep sand and other poor soils. At maturity, Jack Pine will grow to 35-50 feet tall and 10-20 feet wide. Jack Pine have a tremendous cold tolerance, and prefer areas with cool summers. Its shabby appearance does not make Jack Pine an ornamental choice, but it is a formidable tree for wildlife and woodland landscapes.
