Ninebark
Physocarpus opulifolius

Ninebark is moderately shade tolerant, lives and average of 20 years, and grows to heights of about 6 to 10 feet.  It prefers medium texture, moist to well-drained soils.  It has good wildlife value, and typically grows moderately to fast.  Ninebark is very hardy, and has small pinkish cluster flowers.  It is less susceptible to deer browse than many shrubs.
