Green Ash Green Ash is moderately tolerant of shade, lives about 100 to 150 years and reaches an average height of 30 to 60 feet. It prefers well -drained to moderately well-drained soils. The wildlife value is fair, and the growth rate is moderate. It is a very adaptable tree, and an excellent choice for windbreaks/shelterbelts.
