Norway Spruce Norway Spruce is shade tolerant. It lives an average of 200 years. It reaches heights of 80 to 100 feet. It prefers medium to heavy, well drained soil. It has very good wildlife value, and grows moderate to fast. Norway spruce is an excellent windbreak tree, it is the fastest growing and tallest spruce, and has large cones.
