Colorado (Blue) Spruce
Picea pungens

Colorado Spruce is moderately shade tolerant.  It lives an average of 150 to 200 years.  It reaches heights of 50 to 100 feet.  It prefers medium to heavy texture, well drained soil.  It has excellent wildlife value, and grows slow.  It has bluish needles, is the least shade tolerant spruce, and is native to the Western U.S.
