  TREE PLANTING WORKSHOP

The Beltrami Soil and Water Conservation District would like to invite you to our 10thth annual Tree Planting Workshop. 

The workshop includes a “hands on” session intended to provide practical experience with tree / shrub planting. 

Bring a shovel, a pail, dress appropriately for working outside.  Be ready to “get your hands dirty”and learn the right way to plant trees and shrubs. 

This workshop is a no-charge public service intended to help assure the best possible seedling survival in your conservation plantings.  It is part of the Earth Day Festival which includes presentations about Childrens Environmental Health,  Forest Stewardship Plans,  Lakeshore Lakescaping,  Low Impact Lawns, and Naturalist-led Hikes.  For more Earth Day Events information contact Annette Drewes at (218) 755-2784.

Workshop partners include the Headwaters Earth Day Festival 2004, Beltrami Woodland Committee, City of Bemidji and the Minnesota National Guard.
